Charlotte coach Charles Lee kept starting power forward Naz Reid on the bench for the entire second half of Wednesday's loss in Detroit. Reid, acquired from Minnesota in the summer's LaMelo Ball trade, is in the second year of a five-year, $125MM contract. Roderick Boone reports it was about something Reid said; the two have talked and are moving past it.
"Unfortunately, Naz didn't meet our standards in the first half, and at halftime we made the decision that he wasn't going to play in the second half. We look forward to him meeting our standards next game." - Charles Lee
