Payton Pritchard agreed to a two-year, $44.2 million extension with the Celtics, per ESPN's Shams Charania. The deal starts in 2028/29, has one guaranteed year and a mutual option for 2029/30. Pritchard, 28, the 2025 Sixth Man of the Year, is coming off career highs of 17.0 points, 5.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 32.4 minutes, with 50 starts. He'll earn about $7.77 million this season under his current deal.
Fantasy angleSecurity doesn't change his role: he was a 50-start guard last year and should again get big minutes.
