Collin Sexton has missed all of the Lakers' preseason games with a lower-leg injury and is still listed as day-to-day, roughly two weeks after it began. He shot at the latest shootaround but wasn't healthy enough to play Tuesday against Golden State in Las Vegas. NBA reporter Jovan Buha said on his show that there are no assurances Sexton will be ready for the October 21 opener against the Warriors.
"Right now, the Lakers are without Sexton. We have no assurances he's gonna be ready to start the season." — Jovan Buha
"You can't be day-to-day for almost two and a half weeks at that point." — Jovan Buha
Fantasy angleSexton (15.4 points, 3.3 assists in 68 games last season) was lined up as the Lakers' sixth man. Until he practises fully, treat him as a bench stash.
