Leonard Miller has been one of the preseason's standouts and appears to be ahead of Noa Essengue and Patrick Williams in Tiago Splitter's rotation, writes Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Through four games the 6'10" Canadian is averaging 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 19.4 minutes on .651/.600/.714 shooting, in the last year of a $2.4MM rookie deal. Splitter also expects floor-spacing big Jalen Smith to play even once Nic Claxton (hamstring) and Zach Collins (quad) return. Miller's Bulls host his old team, Minnesota, tonight.
"I was a first-round pick, [Williams] was No. 4, Lenny is in the last year of his contract, so we're all playing for something." — Noa Essengue
Fantasy angleA deep-league flier if the minutes stick: per-36 production like this from a forward is rare on the waiver wire.
