Update on Thursday's roster squeeze: Charlotte waived the 33-year-old Connaughton, whose standard salary was the only non-guaranteed one on the roster. Together with two cut camp invitees, the move puts the Hornets at the 15-man regular-season limit. Connaughton averaged 7.1 minutes in 42 games last season and did not play in Friday's 117-98 preseason loss in Memphis.
