In a CNBC interview, Suns owner Mat Ishbia said he was once told to stay out of roster matters and "just threw money at the problem" before taking a more hands-on role. Kevin Durant, traded to Houston, answered on X, and Ishbia replied that he hadn't blamed him and wished him "Good luck this season in Houston." Dillon Brooks, who came to Phoenix in the Durant trade, joined in on Instagram. The Suns open Wednesday in Portland, where Luke Kennard (left knee tendon strain) may play.
