Memphis exercised Zach Edey's $8.07MM fourth-year option and Cedric Coward's $6.29MM third-year option for 2027/28. Edey played only 11 games last season after two left ankle surgeries, in June 2025 and March 2026; when healthy he averaged 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 25.8 minutes. Coward made the All-Rookie first team after averaging 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 62 games. Walter Clayton Jr.'s option was voided when Memphis waived him this week.
