Kyrie Irving, starting his 16th season, said he doesn't see himself playing in the NBA at 42 or 43 and that the league feels "less human" and "more robotic" than when he came in. He holds a $42.4MM player option for 2027/28. Irving said Dwight Powell, whom Dallas waived on Monday, will be "severely missed." Coach Dusty May said Moussa Cisse should get game minutes while Dereck Lively II recovers from foot surgery. Max Christie (sore foot) is expected to play in Wednesday's opener against Houston, Tarik Biberovic (right heel bursitis) is out, and Santi Aldama may not play but is "getting very close."
