Opening-night absences: Knueppel, White, Black and Dybantsa

Oct 20, 2026 · B3 Basketball

Charlotte will be without Kon Knueppel (left hamstring strain), Grant Williams (right hamstring strain) and Coby White (left calf strain) at Brooklyn on Wednesday. All three are back doing individual on-court work but are expected to miss time beyond the opener. Orlando ruled out Anthony Black (right ankle sprain), Jonathan Isaac (left knee injury management), Noah Penda (partially torn right hamstring) and Izaiyah Nelson (left ankle injury management) against Atlanta, while Franz Wagner and Jase Richardson are good to go. Washington's No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa will miss the opener against Milwaukee with an ankle injury and is day-to-day after that, coach Brian Keefe said.
