The Trail Blazers' Moda Center lease requires the arena to be kept in "first-class" condition, and that wording is the sticking point in talks with the city, The Oregonian's Bill Oram reports. Owner Tom Dundon asked city officials to put a dollar figure on the standard; their answer was "upwards of $1 billion," which Dundon rejected. At least one meeting between the two sides is scheduled this week. Also in Portland: Scoot Henderson didn't get a rookie-scale extension before Monday's deadline and enters a contract year. Coach Micah Nori: "There would be nothing happier for me than if next year we had to pay Scoot a ton of money to keep him."
