Update to yesterday's story: Walter Clayton Jr. has signed a two-way contract with the Mavericks, first reported by ESPN's Shams Charania and confirmed by the team. Memphis waived the 2025 No. 18 pick on Monday despite his $4.19MM guaranteed salary. Dallas opened the two-way spot by waiving John Poulakidas on Saturday. Clayton averaged 7.8 points and 4.0 assists in 20.4 minutes across 69 games for Utah and Memphis last season.
Fantasy angleA two-way deal means limited NBA games; not a fantasy option yet.
