Donovan Mitchell told Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor he hopes to finish his career with the Cavaliers. Many doubted he would commit long-term after his 2022 trade to Cleveland, but he has since signed two extensions: a three-year max in July 2024 and a four-year max in July 2026 that runs through at least 2029/30, with a player option for 2030/31. The Cavaliers were swept by the Knicks in last season's Eastern Conference finals.
