Eric Earnest, 54, pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in the inside-information case involving Terry Rozier, and to wire fraud in the separate rigged-poker case. The indictment says an unnamed co-conspirator, whose description matches Chauncey Billups' career, told Earnest the Blazers would rest players before a March 24, 2023, game against Chicago. Billups is not charged in that case; he has pleaded not guilty in the poker case. The trial for the remaining defendants, including Rozier and Billups, is set for early 2027.

"Chauncey Billups did not at any time provide inside information to Mr. Earnest." - Peter Brill, Earnest's attorney
