Yves Missi hurt his left knee midway through the second quarter of the loss in Utah, when Jaxson Hayes blocked Zion Williamson and Williamson fell into Missi's leg. The 22-year-old couldn't put weight on the leg and had to be carried off. Coach Jamahl Mosley said he will be re-evaluated Saturday in Denver. Missi had beaten out Derik Queen for the starting job and had 13 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks in the opener; Queen could start if he misses time, with Karlo Matkovic in line for more minutes.
