Report: Towns wants $225-240MM over four years

Karl-Anthony Towns, who has said he would take less than his four-year, $276MM max, is rumored to be seeking $225-240MM over four years, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports. The Knicks are reportedly offering around $200MM over four seasons. Many around the league expect a deal; if not, Towns is expected to decline his $61MM option for 2027-28 and become a free agent next summer. Siegel also reports that rival teams think Magic guard Anthony Black will top $20MM a year as a restricted free agent in 2027, and that Orlando's extension offer "didn't come close".
