In a new video series, Jayson Tatum said ESPN's Shams Charania told him in person, in Las Vegas, that Jaylen Brown had been traded to Philadelphia. Brown replied under a Bleacher Report Instagram video of the comments with a blue cap emoji, slang for a lie or exaggeration; the Boston Globe's Conor Ryan suggests Brown may think Tatum knew a deal was in the works. Tatum also said the two will always be linked: "Jayson and Jaylen. You won't ever be able to talk about one of us without the other."
"We (were) in Vegas. I just got done playing pick-up the first day. Shams walks over. He hands me the towel and he's like, 'Yo, put this over your face. Don't react. They just traded him.'" - Jayson Tatum
