Former NBA forward Ed Davis, 37, has signaled that he intends to plead guilty in his federal sports betting case, according to a docket entry on Friday. He had pleaded not guilty to four federal charges, including bribery in sporting contests and wire fraud conspiracy, and the judge asked a magistrate to schedule a hearing for a change of plea. The case alleges that Davis and Malik Beasley worked on a scheme targeting at least four games in the 2023-24 season. Beasley agreed to plead guilty last week and is due to change his plea on December 9.
Fantasy angleNo fantasy impact; Beasley's December 9 hearing is the next date in the case.
