Memphis waived 2025 first-round pick Walter Clayton Jr. and Micah Peavy to finalize its opening-night roster, taking on about $6.4MM in dead money. Clayton, who led Florida to a national title and came over from Utah in the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade, averaged 7.8 points and 4.0 assists in 69 games last season. ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel reported Miami is interested, and Sacramento, which opened a two-way spot, has also been linked.
