Philadelphia exercised its 2027-28 option on VJ Edgecombe, locking in $12,219,840. The No. 3 pick in 2025 averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 steals as a full-time starter, finished third in Rookie of the Year voting and was a unanimous All-Rookie first-team pick. The Sixers have until next fall to decide on his $15,445,878 option for 2028-29.
